About Hackhers

HackHers, the newest initiative of Hack the Hill, made its debut as a groundbreaking one-day, beginner-friendly mini-hardware hackathon, carving out a space dedicated to women and gender-diverse students in technology at Learning CrossRoads (CRX) on the Ottawa campus. Designed to foster inclusivity and empowerment, HackHers transcended traditional gender barriers by providing a welcoming environment for participants to explore hardware innovation, collaborate on projects, and expand their technical proficiency. With a focus on meaningful engagement and skill development, the event featured workshops, mentorship sessions, and panel discussions centered on diversity in tech and overcoming industry challenges. More than just a competition, HackHers served as a catalyst for connection, inspiration, and the celebration of diverse voices in the tech community, leaving a lasting imprint on all who participated.
